Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996 in Miami Florida. She is half English the other half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. His father was an Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother has Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. After being in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatizing and that she didn't learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands to Hill House. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. After 16 she quit school in order to take on acting as a profession. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy had a dream to be an actor and her dreams came true when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
