Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. She's attractive and talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. After a series of appearances in popular TV series, she became famous when she was cast as a character in Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles for the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. The actress then gave an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal lord O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In this period, she played the lead in several flops at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Following that, she began to sing prominent characters for animated films like Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia as well as other smaller-screen parts, did not achieve any kind of success. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that included Liu in multiple roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress.
