
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actress, and film actor. She was born on January 31st, 1937, until January 19, 2008. Pleshette began her stage career, and was a part of films in the 1950s and later. She later appeared in important films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she appeared in many television productions and was often as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish and the children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
